About Lunaqwa
Our Story
Started in 2016 Lunaqwa (lune-ak-wa) comes from the Spanish of Moon over Water. A feeling of joy that we sought to bring to WA markets. Our range of products offer gifts with an earthy feel for all styles and ages; from Upcycled jewellery, cuddly quokkas, eco-friendly drinks carriers and photography images (from cards to canvas) and so much more. Much of the range helps raise funds for various WA charity partners too.
In 2022 Lunaqwa bought Kanga Markets with the goal of providing a showcase for more local WA small businesses by hosting affordable markets with the same goal of fun, enjoyable for all. Our stall holders have great stories behind them and several also support local charities. Our goal is to work with venues to bring increased foot traffic to their door, provide a memorable experience for shopper and stallholder alike.

Their team works tirelessly to give every feline a second chance, and we’re honoured to help raise awareness of their mission through our events.
Over the years, we’ve welcomed Cat Haven’s Felines For Fashion designer clothing stall, hosted fundraising stalls, and helped connect them with passionate stallholders for their annual Wet Nose Day.

PERTH WILDLIFE HOSPITAL
We love to support Perth Wildlife Hospital, a vital organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of sick, injured, and orphaned native animals across WA. Their team of passionate carers and volunteers works around the clock to give our wildlife a chance the survive and thrive. We aim to help raise awareness of their incredible work through our markets.
From hosting their stalls to fundraising with every cuddly quokka sold, we’re committed to helping Perth Wildlife Hospital continue their mission.
